St. Louis,   Missouri

Lori (17) and Becky(27) with the
US Women's National Team

J. B. Marine began sponsoring soccer teams in 1978 when our chairman, George Foster, began coaching his eldest daughters' team under the name of his business, the Jefferson Barracks Marine Service Company. J. B. Marine is a barge service company located on the Mississippi river just south of the Jefferson Barracks bridge. In 1985 the club was incorporated as a separate not-for-profit organization and has grown through the years to its present 39 teams in the St. Louis Metropolitan area. In 1991 the club won its first National Championship in the U-19 Girls' age group. As one of the many accolades received that year, the team was invited to meet the President at the White House with the Women's National team, which had won it's first World Cup title that summer. That championship started a string of six National Championships over the next twenty years with the most recent title coming in 2011 with a Gold medal at the U-23 age group. In the history of girl's/women's soccer, only seven National titles have been awarded to Missouri teams and J. B. Marine has six of those titles, a record that we are extremely proud of.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP NUMBER SIX

The J. B. Marine Amateur Team won the Women's Cup this past summer, which is the Amateur National Championship. This team consisted of a group of the best St. Louis area College and High School players and was coached by Denny Bozesky, John Hayes & Larry Hulcer. They defeated a team loaded with Brigham Young & University of Utah players by the Overtime Score of 2 - 1.

Obviously, J. B. Marine is extremely proud of this accomplishment as they have added an unprecedented
Sixth Gold Star.

Congratulations to the J B Class of 2011

The club is founded on the philosophy that competitive sports, and soccer in particular, serve a useful purpose in the development of our youth. In the proper environment, soccer teaches teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and other positive qualities. The winning of numerous championships is an outgrowth of this philosophy.

J. B. Marine's first championship in 1991 started a string of six National Championships over the next twenty years including the most recent title coming in 2011 with a Gold medal at the U-23 age group.

In the history of girl's/women's soccer, only seven National titles have been awarded to Missouri teams and J. B. Marine has six of those titles, a record that we are extremely proud of.
